Chynna Ortaleza: Cool on 'Click!'

GMA-7 claims that "Click," which airs Saturdays at 4:30 p.m., is now the number one teen-oriented show on television. To celebrate, the network got the entire barkada together to do some musical numbers at Ratsky's Morato and talk to the press. Present were Alessandra de Rossi, Chynna Ortaleza, Tricia Roman, Sherwin Ordonez, Karen de los Reyes, Railey Valeroso, Angel Locsin, Richard Gutierrez, AJ Eigenmann, Bryan Revilla and Dyan Delfin.
We had a chance to sit down with Chynna, who talked to us as though we had known each other for a long time. She had a long answer for each of our pesky questions, and not once did her energy level drop.
Chynna has had a lot of practice, as she is a graduate of "Five and Up," the children's show from Probe Productions that is regretfully off the air. She is 19 years old, the daughter of advertising man Gryk Ortaleza, who's been in the news lately defending Pagcor's slot machine arcades.
The masscom student used to find TV soaps "baduy" until she joined the cast of "Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin" and learned that they're cool after all. With her TV assignments, she helps pay for the bills at home and doesn't depend on her parents for her allowance.
Chynna says she is not kikay like her character in "Click." In fact, she considers herself boyish --- that's one area where we disagree with her. She's not the type, however, who will act demure and sweet in the company of boys. She speaks out her mind to the point of telling a guy to stop courting her because he doesn't stand a chance.
