Chynna's Special Day
Published in Manila Bulletin (03/21/2005)"I want people to go home and say, they look good together or they're so in love (in describing Chynna and her groom.)" There's nothing more endearing than a wedding that will have all the guests feeling giddy, truly sharing the love that exudes from the newlyweds. "I want to make my guests happy, that's why I'm allotting a significant amount of the wedding budget to the reception." Laughingly Chynna confesses she really wants to make her guests very full and satisfied with the reception.
When asked where she plans to get married, Chynna says she's practically clueless as of now. But having a beach wedding might be an option for this pretty young woman. "Basta ba I have the money to send all my guests to a nice beach." She shares, "my close friends loves the beach so much, so having it on the beach would be like hitting two birds with one stone, I also think it's romantic." Chynna confesses that she sees her wedding to be intimate and cozy, "but I can't avoid it not being publicized, after all I'm a celebrity, but it doesn't mean I can't have a little bit of privacy." Chynna sees Donita Rose's wedding to be a wedding that more or less describes the scenario she yearns for. "Donita's wedding was so intimate, all her family and close friends were there and it wasn't as glamourized as the other celebrity weddings."
Chynna giggles in admitting the fact that "my boyfriend and I don't really have a theme song," so the question of what wedding song she wants to be played in her wedding or reception was left hanging. She later comments "But I like to have some reggae songs siguro, I don' t know maybe because I'm still young that's why I'm thinking reggae right now. I just want it to be a little bit out of the box, and it can match the beach setting perfectly," she chuckles. Literally being surrounded by the country's best singers in SOP, Chynna haven't thought of who she would want to be her wedding singer, "pero siyempre it would be better if the singer is my friend, it's much personal."
Looking beyond the Wedding day and the reception, Chynna sees her honeymoon destination somehere outside the country in a pristine beach, "somewhere like Bali and Maldives, because I love to travel, there's so many things to learn and see and it would be extra special if you do it with the one you love." She thinks of her honeymoon as her holiday from work. "I've been working a lot and I just want to spend that special moment with my husband."
"Happy" is the one word that she wants her wedding to be described with. With both her career and lovelife blooming in front of her, Chynna Ortaleza has lots to be happy about. No wonder that the idea of her dream wedding, though not really in her immediate plans right now, will always be something she looks forward to.
